For the
July 30th, 2006 clinic, just before we were appointed as a branch of
Spay/Panama, we almost broke even cash-wise. Pat Chan (Spay/Panama)
flew two of her vets from Panama at her expense, plus she sent a large
amount of supplies and medications. Pat’s contributions, including the
airfare, totaled about $895. These amounts are not included in the
figures below. We do have some medications and supplies left, but we
will have to replenish what we used from Pat’s original contribution. Pat Chan (Spay/Panama) also
donated a brand new autoclave to us – a value of $1,750! Special
thanks also to Francia Pinedo (Bienes Raices Volcan) who graciously
allows us to use her offices for our clinics. Francia is a competent and
honest real estate agent. Please use her services whenever you have real
estate needs. Phone numbers are 507-771-4550 and 6539-0579 (cell phone). In
addition, Manolo of Torneria Volcan (771-4752) made and donated two lamp
bases and four positioners. ("Positioners" are stainless steel V-shaped devices that keep
the animal stationery on its back; therefore, there's no need to secure
the legs of the animal.) And for our post-clinic luncheon meeting, Roxana at Hotel Dos Rios gave us a discount on meals (only $5.00 each for a very nice menu which included drinks and desert). They also provided a private meeting room for us after lunch at no extra charge.
Income: $724 - contributions by owners/guardians. This sum included $500 by Ruby McKenzie of Boquete. (The group from Boquete brought 27 of the 60 total animals sterilized on July 30, 2006.) $ 60 - contributed by Sharon Borgman $100 - contributed by Betsy Boeve and Cindy Reichert $240 - contributed by Joseph McPhillips $1,124
-
total income So this time, we had a cash deficit of only $5.00.
